We are very proud to announce that we completed our activity with ESA (European Space Agency) where we also developed integration of our modified CCSDS SDLS protocol (we implemented two new Extended Procedures for it) and a PKI (using digital certificates to protect every asset). This way we were able to increase the security of the protocol by adding asymmetric cryptography (mostly based on TLS 1.3) and strong bi-directional authentication, both missing in the SDLS. All crypto functions are running within our FPGA/HSM chip. We demoed the solution by using a packet radio modem using a VHF radio at 144.800 MHz.
